Scope
These terms apply to the Urbex Buddies website, iOS app, API features, profiles, lists, chats, maps, Premium, credits and related services.
- Different terms apply only if we expressly agree to them.
- The App Store, Apple in-app purchases, PayPal, YouTube, Instagram and map providers may have their own additional terms.
Account, login and security
Many features require an account. You must provide accurate information, protect credentials and avoid misuse.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
- We may use security measures such as rate limits, token revocation, verification or temporary restrictions.
- Admin, creator or Premium features must not be obtained or bypassed fraudulently.
Urbex, safety and law
Urbex can be dangerous and legally sensitive. Urbex Buddies does not grant permission to enter any location and does not replace your own legal and safety checks.
- Do not enter private, closed, unstable, contaminated or dangerous locations without legal permission.
- No damage, forced entry, theft, disturbance or entry against prohibitions.
- Coordinates, hints and media are for research and planning, not an invitation to trespass.
User content and usage rights
You keep ownership of your content, but grant us the rights needed to display, store, moderate, optimize and share it within Urbex Buddies.
- Upload only content for which you have the necessary rights.
- Illegal, insulting, dangerous, discriminatory, pornographic, doxxing, spammy or misleading content is prohibited.
- Public content may appear in search engines, profiles, maps, lists, media pages and previews.
Visibility, private places and lists
Visibility settings control who can see content. Private places may become visible to members of a list if assigned to that list.
- Public lists may appear on profiles and on the web.
- Premium-exclusive places or lists may be masked for non-Premium users.
- Blocks, group roles and list roles may limit visibility and communication.
Maps, location and accuracy
Maps, locations, distances and nearby features may be inaccurate, outdated or limited.
- We do not guarantee completeness, legality, accessibility or safety of any location.
- Web maps may reduce or protect coordinates to make misuse harder.
- CarPlay and auto mode must only be used when safe for traffic.
Friends, groups, chats and reports
Community features are for exchange and planning. Users must stay respectful and must not harass or endanger others.
- For non-friends, the first message may be handled as a message request.
- Group and list permissions may distinguish roles such as member, moderator or owner.
- Reports may lead to review, removal, suspension or further measures.
Explore Together
Explore Together is a temporary planning tool with live locations, session map, chat, list import and tactical markers.
- Participation and location sharing are voluntary and session-specific.
- Temporary lists may become locked after expiry but remain importable or deletable.
- Free limits and credit costs may apply to members, duration, invites, joins or markers.
Premium, subscriptions and ad-free use
Premium unlocks additional features such as Premium places, Premium lists, wider ranges, fewer limits, ad-free use and extended Explore Together features.
- iOS subscriptions are managed by Apple and can be cancelled there.
- Web subscriptions may use PayPal or other configured providers.
- Premium status can be used across platforms when the same account is used.
- Premium content created by a user may remain accessible to its creator after subscription expiry for fairness and notification reasons.
Credits and paid actions
Credits are digital balance for certain actions, unlocks and comfort features.
- Credits may be earned or purchased.
- Paid actions are shown before execution where technically possible.
- Credits are not redeemable for cash unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
- Actions, packages and prices may be adjusted through the admin dashboard.
Third parties
Urbex Buddies may use third parties including Apple, PayPal, Google, YouTube, Instagram, OpenStreetMap/OSM services, email providers, push services and hosting or infrastructure providers.
- Third-party terms and privacy rules apply to those services.
- External links, embedded content or OAuth flows may take you to other services.
- We are not responsible for external content outside our control.
Moderation, suspensions and enforcement
We may review, restrict, hide, delete, label or limit content and accounts where needed for community safety, legal compliance or operations.
- Measures may include warning, removal, functional limits, temporary suspension, permanent ban or reporting to competent authorities.
- Admin actions may be logged internally.
- You may ask about or challenge moderation decisions through the feedback form.
Availability, offline mode and changes
We try to provide stable services but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
- Features may change, fail, be limited or discontinued.
- Offline features may store data locally and synchronize later.
- If local and server state conflict, the server state may prevail.
Termination and account deletion
You may delete your account through available features or support request. Active subscriptions must be cancelled with the relevant provider.
- Public content may be deleted, anonymized or retained where legitimate reasons apply.
- Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
- Serious violations may result in immediate account suspension.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when features, legal requirements or operations require it.
- Material changes will be communicated appropriately.
- Continued use after effectiveness means the updated terms apply, unless mandatory law says otherwise.
Applicable law and regional notes
Where permitted, German law applies. Mandatory consumer rights of your country of residence remain unaffected.
- EU users are additionally protected by applicable consumer, privacy and platform rules.
- We are not obliged and not willing to participate in consumer arbitration unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
